ABOUT ME

Before the camera, it was a paintbrush. I studied art and design in college, and somewhere in the middle of it all I swapped the brush for a 35mm film camera, more or less the same one that still comes with me to weddings now. That's where my way of seeing things started, and I think it still shows in the pictures.

I live in the Cotswolds, which I try not to take for granted. Chocolate-box villages, open commons, and some of the best wedding venues in the country, all within half an hour of my front door. The work has taken me further too, the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como, Provence, Ireland, Spain, Croatia. A quiet elopement in the Scottish Highlands one month, a Tuscan villa the next. Wherever the day is, I turn up the same way.

Most of what I do is watching. The glance between your parents during the speeches, the friend who can't stop laughing, the half-second before the doors open. I'll pull you aside for a few portraits when the light is worth it, but I won't pose you into something you're not. I want the pictures to feel like the day felt, not a version of it.

Years from now, the flowers will be forgotten and the playlist will sound dated. What you'll have is the way your dad looked at you, the way your friends shouted, the quiet in the car on the way there. That's the bit I care about.
